Research Progress for Dosage Regimen of Piperacillin Sodium and Tazobactam Sodium

OBJECTIVE To introduce the research progress for dosage regimen of piperacillin/tazobactam. METHODS The domestic and international articles were reviewed to summarize the core periodicals. RESULTS The dosage regimen of piperacillin/tazobactam included continuous infusion, extended-infusion and intermittent infusion. CONCLUSION Continuous infusion of piperacillin/tazobactam in 24 h is more effective to treat the bacterial infectious disease, which can reduce the resistance to bacterium and reduce treatment costs.
