Studies on Liver Protection of Yinchenhao Decoction by Seropharmacological Method

OBJECTIVE To establish a seropharmacological method for Yinchenhao decoction. METHODS Model of CCl₄-induced injury of hepatocyte was established and rats were used as the donor to prepare Yinchenhao decoction containing serum. Hepatocyte proliferation and orthogonal experiment was carried out to screen the preparative method of drug-containing serum and the suitable concentration in culture system. RESULTS Normal rats as the donator of serum, ten times equivalent dose of the extract of Yinchenhao decoction for adults was used. The optimal preparative method of drug-contained serum was orally administration twice a day for 3 days, plasma was collected after 1 h of the last administration. Addition of 20% drug-contained serum to culture system could elevate hepatocyte proliferation significantly. CONCLUSION Yinchenhao decoction containing serum prepared by suitable method possesses an obvious protective effect on CCl₄-induced hepatocyte injury and seropharmacology can be applied to evaluate the pharmacological effect of Yinchenhao decoction.
