Chemical Constituents of Essential oil of Angelica Sinensis in Min County with Different Extraction Methods

    • OBJECTIVE To analyze the chemical constituents of essential oil from Angelica sinensis. METHODS The essential oils were extracted from Angelica sinensis by supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) and steam distillation (SD). The amount of the constituents from the essential oil was determined by normalization method, and the constituents separated were identified by GC-MS. RESULTS There were 73 constituents from SD extract that composed of about 58.99% of the total essential oil were separated and identified. There were 25 constituents from SFE extract that composed of about 63.43% of the total essential oil were separated and identified. The same constituents were 13 kinds. CONCLUSION The constituents of essential oils extracted by SFE were different from that of extracted by SD. The results provide evidence for understanding the constituents of essential oils in Angelica sinensis.
