Analysis of One Case on Peripheral Neuritis Induced by Methimazole

OBJECTIVE To find out the cause and prevention of peripheral neuritis induced by methimazole. METHODS A case of peripheral neuritis induced by methimazole was chosen, which pharmacist participated in the whole treatment. RESULTS Methimazole can induce peripheral neuritis, which should bring enough attentions in clinical. CONCLUSION In clinical peripheral neuritis treatment, we should pay more attention to patient’s drug usage history, which will improve the outcome of treatment.
