Abstract
OBJECTIVE To study on physicochemical properties of Panax notoginseng saponins sustained release microspheres (PNS-SRM). METHODS Some analytical methods, such as determination of particle size, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), differential thermal analysis (DSC), infrared spectra (IR), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), specific surface area determination, dissolution test, were applied to the investigation of PNS-SRM. RESULTS There were difference between PNS-SRM and physical mixture in IR, DSC, XRD. The PNS-SRM had good slow releasing effect. CONCLUTION There is intermolecular interaction among chitosan, acrylic resin and PNS in PNS-SRM. In the PNS-SRM a new crystal form was generated.
