The Inhibiting Effect of Coix Seed Oil Soft Capsule on Human Prostate Tumor PC-3M Grafted in Nude Mice

OBJECTIVE To study the inhibiting effect of coix seed oil soft capsule on human prostate tumor PC-3M grafted in nude mice. METHODS Establish the module of human prostate tumor PC-3M grafted in nude mice，dynamically observe and measure the tumor size and body weight of mice bearing tumors. And calculate tumor inhibition rates and relative growth rates with King formula. RESULTS The inhibition rates of three dose groups of coix seed oil soft capsule alone were 44.50%,40.52% and 28.44% respectively，the inhibition rates of chemotherapy(Taxol) combination groups were 58.18%,59.36% and 54.92% respectively. CONCLUSION Coix seed oil soft capsule used alone has certain inhibition effect on human prostate tumor grafted in nude mice. The combination with chemotherapy(Taxol)can obviously get additive effect.
