Observation of Effect of Runzao Itching Capsule Combined with Qiangyue Cream on Simple Vulva Pruritus

OBJECTIVE To observe the effect of Runzao itching capsules combined with Qiangyue cream on simple vulva pruritus. METHODS Eighty cases were divided into two groups. Forty cases in treatment group took 4 Runzao itching capsules each time, thrice daily, and applied Qiangyue cream on affected part for external use twice a day. Forty cases in control group took 10 mg mizolastine once per day, and applied 0.1% triamcinolone acetonide cream twice a day in the morning and evening. Treatment lasted four weeks. RESULTS The rate of effectiveness in treatment group and control group were respectively 62.50% and 65%. There was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05). The total point difference before and past treatment of treatment group and control group were respectively 2.14±1.71 and 2.10±1.68. And there was no significant statistical difference (P>0.05). The itching point of treatment group and control group after two weeks’ treatment were respectively 0.45±0.51 and 0.82±0.77, and there was a statistical difference. At the end of the treatment, the secondary skin lesion point of treatment group was 0.31±0.65 and that of control group 0.03±0.17, and the points also showed statistical difference. CONCLUSION Rnuzao itching capsules combined with Qiangyue cream had the same effect on simple vulva pruritus as mizolastine with triamcinolone acetonide cream, but the effect of the former was better than that of the latter on stopping itching, and inferior on relieving secondary skin lesions.
