    Detecting the Content of Zinc Oxide in Calamine Lotion by Atomic Absorption Spectrometry

    • OBJECTIVE To establish the method of detecting the content of zinc oxide in calamine lotion by atomic absorption spectrometry(AAS). METHODS AAS was used to perform the detection with standard curve method. RESULTS The average recovery rate of sample was 99.94% with RSD 0.51%. CONCLUSION AAS is accurate, simple and reliable for detecting zinc oxide in calamine lotion, and could be used as the quality control method of calamine lotion.
