Abstract
OBJECTIVE To study the use of antibacterial medicine during perioperative period for breast surgery patient and the analysis of its rationality. METHODS Carry out retrospective study of antibacterial medicine application for 138 cases of breast surgery patient during their perioperative period between January and December 2009 in our hospital. RESULTS 71.74% of the antibacterial drug application cases were without clear target. Use of antimicrobial agents in patients who with infection after the time for a reasonable proportion of 61.62%. 38.38% of these cases had post operation drug use period longer than 72 hours. In addition, 82.85% of the cases had excessive dosage of Cefuroxime sodium. In call cases, the choices of solvent for Azlocillin sodium are wrong. CONCLUSION Irregular application of antibacterial medicine for breast surgery patients during their perioperative period exists. Management of antibacterial medicine needs to be strengthened and awareness of proper application of antibacterial medicine among medical professionals needs to be raised.
