Abstract
OBJECTIVE To establish method for determining the content of 2,3,5,4’-tetrahydroxy stilbene-2-O-β-D-glycoside (simply named as 2,3,5,4’-stilbene glycoside) from Radix Polygoni Multiflori Preparata in Shengjibiejia pills by HPLC. METHODS It was performed by HPLC with Agilent Extend-C18 column(250 mm×4.6 mm, 5 µm). The mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile and water (14∶86). The flow rate was 1.0 mL·min-1 with the detection wavelength at 320 nm. RESULTS 2,3,5,4’-stilbene glycoside showed a good linear relationship within the range of 48.64-2 432 ng(r=1.000). The average recovery was 100.22% with RSD=0.45%(n=7). CONCLUSION The method is simple, rapid, accurate and reliable, and it can be applied to control the quality of Shengjibiejia pills.
