Therapeutic Development for Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder

OBJECTIVE To introduce the research and development of drug therapy for attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). METHODS This review will discuss the kinds of therapeutic drugs for ADHD and their clinical uses. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION Each therapeutic drugs for attention deficit/hyperactivity has its advantage and disadvantage and limitations. The rational combination therapy of chemical drugs and traditional Chinese medicine may be more effective and less toxic, which will be one of the best way for ADHD patients.
