Quantitative Determination of Salvianolic Acid B in Chi Shen Waterpills by HPLC

OBJECTIVE To perfect the quality standard of Chi Shen waterpills．Salvianolic acid B was chosen as the quality control index．METHODS HPLC conditions：Kromasil C18 column(250 mm×4.6 mm, 5 μm)，methnol-acetonitrile- formic acid-water(28∶10∶1∶61) as the mobile phase，detection wavelength：286 nm，flow rate：1.0 mL·min-1．RESULTS Salvianolic acid B has a good linearity with in the range of 0.108 3-1.299 8 μg．The average recovery rate was 98.7％(RSD=1.7%). CONCLUSION The procedure is simple and reliable．The results are stable and reproducible．The established method could determine salvianolic acid B from Chi Shen waterpills accurately．
