Therapeutic Drugs for Hemorrhoids

OBJECTIVE To summarize the progresses of research and application of hemorrhoidal drugs, and therefore to offer some references for the therapy and new drug development of hemorrhoids.METHODS Searching the recent research literatures on hemorrhoidal drugs, and analyzing them with respect to the mechanisms.RESULTS The present therapeutic drugs can only relieve or abolish the symptom of hemorrhoids.CONCLUSION Researches on new drugs for haemorrhoids should be reinforced on the basis of further studies on the etiology and mechanisms of hemorrhoids.
