Determination of Nitidine Chloride in Zanthoxylum nitidum (Roxb．) DC．by HPLC

OBJECTIVE To establish an HPLC method for the determination of nitidine chloride in Zanthoxylum nitidum (Roxb.) DC. METHODS The method contained a SymmetryshielyTM RP18 (4.6 mm×250 mm, 5 μm) as column, with acetonitrile-0.04 mol·L-1 NaAc（adjust pH to 6.5 with Hac）as mobile phase, UV detection wavelength at 270nm. RESULTS The calibration curve of nitidine chloride was linear between 0.25-5.0 μg.The average recovery was 99.6%, RSD=1.49%. CONCLUTION This method was proved to be simple, rapid, accurate and can be used for the quality control of Zanthoxylum nitidum（Roxb.）DC.
