Determination of Tetrahydropalmatine in Gujian Oral Liquid by RP-HPLC

OBJECTIVE To determine the quantity of tetrahydropalmatine in Gujian oral liquid. METHODS RP-HPLC was used. Chromatographic conditions:ZORBAX XDB-C18 column (150 mm × 4.6 mm, 5 μm), the mobile phase consisted of 0.1% H3PO4（pH adjusted to 6.0 by triethylamine）-methnol ( 45∶55 ), the flow rate was 0.8 mL·min-1, the detective wavelength was set at 280nm and column temperature was 45 ℃. RESULTS The calibration curve was linear in the range of 0.054～2.160 μg for the tetrahydropalmatine (r=0.999 9).The average recovery was 98.9% and the RSD was 0.5% (n=9). CONCLUSION The method is simple and accurate with good repeatability, which may be used for the quality control of Gujian oral liquid.
