    Determination of Notoginsenoside R1 and Ginsenoside Rg1 in Hongyao Tablet by HPLC

    • OBJECTIVE To establish a HPLC method for simulataneous determination of Notoginsenoside R1 and Ginsenoside Rg1 in Hongyao Tablets. METHODSThe HPLC was conducted on Discovery C18 column(25 cm×4.6 mm,5 μm)with acetonitrile-0.1% phosphoric acid solution (20∶80) as the mobile phase.The detection wavelength was 203 nm,and flow rate was 1 mL·min-1. RESULTSThere were good linear relations of Notoginsenoside R1 within 1.216-9.728 μg·mL-1 (r=0.999 5) and Ginsenoside Rg1 within 3.036-15.180 μg·mL-1 (r=0.999 1).The average recovery rate of Notoginsenoside R1 was 98.6%,RSD=1.7%; and Ginsenoside Rg1 was 101.0%,RSD=1.7%. CONCLUSIONThe method is simple, rapid and accurate for the determination of Notoginsenoside R1 and Ginsenoside Rg1 in Hongyao Tablets,and it is expected for the quality control of Hongyao tablets.
