Chemical Constituents of Microsorium fortunei

OBJECTIVE To study the chemical constituents of Microsorium fortunei (Moore) Ching. METHODS The constituents were separated and purified by column chromatography with silica gel. Their structures were identified on the basis of spectral analysis and chemical evidence.RESULTS Seven compounds were isolated from the ethyl acetate extracts and the n-butanol extracts of Microsorium fortunei(Moore) Ching by column chromatography. They were β-sitosterol (Ⅰ), sitosterol β-O- glucopyranoside (Ⅱ), pinoresinol (Ⅲ) , quercetin (Ⅳ) and quercetin 3-O-β-D-galactoside(Ⅴ)，wallichoside（Ⅵ）and pterosin A（Ⅶ）, respectively. CONCLUSION These compounds were found from the Microsorium fortunei(Moore) Ching for the first time.
