Studies on the Quality Standard of Miao Herba Wuhuaguo

OBJECTIVE To study on the quality standard of Miao herba Wuhuaguo. METHODS Psoralen was identified by TLC. The content of polysaccharides in Wuhuaguo was determined by sulfuric acid–phenol. The content of psoralen in Wuhuaguo was determined by HPLC. RESULTS TLC spots developed were fairly clear and the negative control showed no interference. The polysaccharides was linear in the range of 0.039 878-0.099 695 mg·mL^-1. The regression equation was Y=7.449 4X-0.000 9 (r=0.999 6). The average recovery was 98.1% (n=6, RSD=1.48%). The psoralen was linear in the range of 0.000 625-1.875 μg. The regression equation was Y=8×10⁶X＋124 304(r=0.999 6). The average recovery was 103.6%(n=6, RSD=1.40%). CONCLUSION This method is convenient, accurate, high sensitivity, and can be used to control the quality of Wuhuaguo.
