Study on Effects of Jiedukang in Drug Addiction Treatments

OBJECTIVE To study the effects of Jiedukang for treating drug addicts and to provide preliminary experiment basement. METHODS Hot plate inducing pain method and acetic acid writhing method were used to observe the analgesic effects. And up-limen dose of pentobarbital sodium was used to observe the hypnotic action. Morphine addicted model in mouse was used to observe the treating effects of relieve drug withdrawal symptoms. RESULTS Jiedukang could decrease the degree of body torsion caused by acetic acid and prolong foot-licking latency in hot plate test; cooperate with pentobarbital sodium’s up-limen dose hypnotic effect; restrain the jumping of morphine-withdrawal mice and regain their bodyweight. CONCLUSION Jiedukang has analgesia, hypnotic effects and can relieve mophine withdrawal symptoms. It has good prospects for new drug development.
