Potential of Protamine for Improving Non-viral Gene Transfection

Non-viral gene vector, even has merits of nontoxic and easy preparation, has low transfection efficiency compared with viral vector, which handicaps its clinical application. This review tends to provide a new method of improving gene transfection efficiency by protamine. With proper design and optimization, it is possible to prepare an efficient and nontoxic gene vector.
