Advancing Gut Microbiota Research and Fostering Interdisciplinary Integration to Empower Pharmaceutical Development

In recent years, the gut microbiota has been a frontier hotspot in scientific research, particularly in studying the pharmacodynamics and mechanisms of drugs from the perspective of gut microbiota, which has injected a new perspective and direction into pharmaceutical research. To continuously drive pharmaceutical innovation and jointly tackle challenging issues in this field, this chapter introduces a special issue on "intestinal flora research", aiming to promote multidisciplinary integration and empower the development of pharmaceutical sciences. It will provides extensive pharmaceutical research colleagues with clinical insights, research foundations, and expanded thinking from the perspective of gut microbiota, further promoting the vigorous development of pharmaceutical disciplines.
