Abstract
How to encourage deep communication and creating a win-win situation for the advancing traditional Chinese medicine and modern biomedicine as well as their clinical counterparts becomes a solemn problem for modern medicine practice and education in China. Modern life science has experienced three worlds or biospheres: macro-biosphere, micro-biosphere and holovivo-biosphere. The traditional Chinese medicine is based on theories and practices of macro-sphere but modern biomedical science has, in less than a millennium, passed micro-biosphere and entered holovivo-biosphere whose paradigm is holovivology, i.e., adding a spatiotemporal axis for the life science through full-parameterization, digitalization, and digital-twin-based new landscape. Although there have not been certain key concepts of modern molecular biology in traditional Chinese medicine, such as molecule--cell and genotype-phenotype, modernized Chinese medicine in the past several decades, especially the research and development of traditional Chinese medicine, has accepted several scientific methods and experimental systems of the modern biomedicine. If Chinese philosophy can be applied to the changing biomedical frameworks, the introduction of 5-tracks (informational, operational, homeostatic, compartmental, and plastic tracks) biology, i.e., holovivology, such a new conception may pave away for effective communication between traditional Chinese medicine and modern medicine.
