Research Progress on the Role of Immune Cell Subsets in Cisplatin Nephrotoxicity

    • Cisplatin (DDP) is a commonly used anticancer drug in clinic, it is widely used in lung cancer, testicular cancer, ovarian cancer and other solid cancers. However, its side effects limit its clinical application, such as nephrotoxicity, ototoxicity, bone marrow suppression and so on. Among them, the nephrotoxicity of DDP is one of the most serious adverse reactions. The clinical manifestations of nephrotoxicity mainly include hematuria, elevated serum creatinine, renal tubular injury. Recent studies have shown that inflammation, apoptosis, autophagy, oxidative stress and ferroptosis all play an important role in the nephrotoxicity of DDP. This article focuses on the immune cells, and reviews the mechanism of macrophages, T cells, dendritic cells and other immune cells in the nephrotoxicity of DDP in recent years, the present text aims to provide a theoretical basis for the prevention and treatment of the nephrotoxicity of DDP.
