Textual Research of Historical and Current Application of Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma in Classic Famous Prescriptions

As one of the eight Zhejiang genuine medicinal materials("Zhebawei"), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma is widely used in clinical practice. In this study, by searching of ancient Chinese herbal books and prescription databases of traditional Chinese medicine, 10347 prescriptions and 107 classic famous prescriptions which contain Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma were obtained. And focus on the textual research of the ancient and modern applications of Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma in classic famous prescriptions, including characteristics of compatibility, processing status, pharmaceutical dosage forms, usage and relationship between dosage and effects, and etc. The results may be helpful to understand the using rule of Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma in classic famous prescriptions, as well as provide a basis for the development and application of Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma.
