Drug Use Evaluation and Clinical Rationality Analysis of Ivabradine

OBJECTIVE Based on entropy weight technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution(TOPSIS), the drug use evaluation(DUE) of ivabradine was conducted and the rationality of clinical application was analyzed.

METHODS Inpatient medical records using ivabradine from January 2022 to December 2022 in Tianjin Chest Hospital were evaluated by entropy weight-TOPSIS method.

RESULTS Two hundred and twenty-six cases of medical records was evaluated, there were 35 cases(15.49%) of reasonable medical records, 173 cases(76.55%) of basically reasonable medical records, and 18 cases(7.96%) of unreasonable medical records. The problems of unreasonable drug use were as follows: administration method (23.89%), administration dosage(23.45%), special groups(23.01%), drug interactions(22.12%), precautions(2.21%), indications (2.21%) and contraindications(0.88%).

CONCLUSION The drug use evaluation of ivabradine is conducted and the rationality of clinical application is analyzed based on entropy weight-TOPSIS method. The method is simple in operation, reliable in data and intuitive in results. The study has reference significance and guiding function in clinical rational application of drugs.
