OBJECTIVE To establish a rapid analysis method of volatile components in Aurantii Fructus, and compare the differences of volatile components in Aurantii Fructus from different habitats.
METHODS The volatile components of Aurantii Fructus from different habitats were analyzed by gas phase ion mobility spectrometry, and the differences of volatile components in Aurantii Fructus from different habitats were analyzed by cluster analysis(CA), principal component analysis(PCA) and partial least squares discriminant analysis(PLS-DA).
RESULTS A total of 80 volatile compounds were detected, and 55 were identified qualitatively, including 13 terpenes, 18 aldehydes, 5 esters, 8 ketones, 8 alcohols, 2 acids and 1 pyrazine. The different origins of Aurantium Fructus could be distinguished by CA and PCA.
CONCLUSION The method is simple, economical and efficient, and can be used to identify and evaluate the types and differences of volatile organic compounds in Aurantii Fructus of different origins, providing references for the identification and quality control of Aurantii Fructus of different origins.
