    Mechanism of Ferroptosis in Diabetic Cardiomyopathy and Progress in Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment

    • Diabetic cardiomyopathy is a pathophysiological disease induced by diabetes mellitus, which can lead to heart failure in severe cases. The pathogenesis is very complex, which seriously endanges human health. A large number of studies have shown that ferroptosis plays an important role in the development of diabetic cardiomyopathy. Traditional Chinese medicine has unique advantages and good prospects in the prevention and treatment of diabetic cardiomyopathy, and there are many compounds and active components of traditional Chinese medicine that can regulate ferroptosis. This article reviewed the mechanism of ferroptosis signaling pathway in diabetic cardiomyopathy and the research progress of traditional Chinese medicine in the prevention and treatment of diabetic cardiomyopathy by targeted regulation of ferroptosis signaling in recent years, in order to provide reference for the clinical prevention and treatment of diabetic cardiomyopathy with traditional Chinese medicine.
