Research Progress on Anticancer Activity of Solamargine

Solamargine is a small steroid alkaloid isolated from solanaceae, which has significant inhibitory effect on a variety of cancer cells. Due to its remarkable effect, natural characteristics and low side effects, and obvious advantages in structure, it has great application value and prospect in clinical treatment of various types of cancer. In this review, the application of solamargine in cancer field was summarized comprehensively, in order to provide more information for the subsequent research and further application of solamargine.
