Abstract
Zebrafish, as a new type of model animal with short developmental cycle, external fertilization, transparent embryos, and a wide variety of mutant strains, has been widely used in research on the nervous, cardiovascular, digestive systems, et al. Neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease have seen a continuous increase in incidence in recent years with a trend towards younger patients, which seriously affects people's physical health and quality of life. Due to the complex pathogenesis of these diseases, there is still a lack of effective treatment methods. This article reviewed the main methods and feasibility of using zebrafish to create models of neurodegenerative diseases in recent years, providing a reference for the selection of zebrafish models in the study of neurodegenerative diseases.
