Research Progress of the cGMP Role and Its Mediated Signaling Pathway in Platelet Aggregation

Thrombosis is the main killer of ischemic cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Platelet aggregation plays an important role in the process of thrombosis. Anti-platelet aggregation is irreplaceable in the treatment of thrombotic diseases. cGMP plays a very important role in the regulation of platelet function; and its role is mainly through the eNOS-NO-cGMP-PKG pathway. This review mainly clarifies the effect and mechanism of cGMP on platelet aggregation.
