Development of Social Pharmacy in Japan and Its Enlightenment to China

OBJECTIVE To explore the development mode of pharmacy in China under the background of separation clinic from pharmacy and "Healthy China" strategy. METHODS Based on the analysis of the development process of pharmacy in Japan, combined with the medical policy and pharmacy practice, came up with the development model of pharmacy in China. RESULTS Pharmacise had experienced from "door pharmacy" to "frequently visited pharmacy" to "health support pharmacy" in Japan, which had realized the separation clinic from pharmacy and the improvement of patient-centered service ability. China could design the ideal mode of pharmacy according to Japanese experience, under the background and the policy of separation clinic from pharmacy and "Healthy China" strategy.
