Research Progress in pharmacological effects of 1, 8-cineole

1,8-cineole is the main effective component of essential oil from many aromatic plants, which is widely used in medicine, cosmetics and flavor industry. A large number of studies have proved that 1,8-cineole has antibacterial, anti- inflammatory, anti-oxidative, anti-tumor, analgesic, and neuroprotective effects. By tracing the literature in the past ten years, this paper summarizes the new research progress of 1,8-cineole pharmacological effect, which aims to provide reference for further development and clinical application of this natural product.
