Research Progress on Mechanism and Pharmacological Activities of Total Glucosides of Paeony

Total glucosides of paeony(TGP) is an effective extraction part of Paeoniae Radix Alba, mainly including paeoniflorin, albiflorin, oxypaeoniflora and other components. Modern pharmacological studies have found that TGP not only has the functions of immune regulation, anti-inflammatory and liver protection, but also has the functions of brain and nerve protection, cardiovascular protection, kidney protection and cell proliferation inhibition. It has a good prospect of application and development. The pharmacological effects and mechanism of TGP were summarized inthis paper, in order to provide reference for the further development of TGP.
