    Research Progress on the Improving Effect of Cinnamon Extract and Its Active Components on Type 2 Diabetes

    • Diabetes, as a complex metabolic disease, is a serious threat to human health, while type 2 diabetes has attracted much attention because of its complex causes.Modern studies have found that cinnamon extract and its active components have a variety of pharmacological effects, such as antibacterial, anti-tumor and so on.It can improve type 2 diabetes and improve the symptoms of type 2 diabetes in many ways.Clinical studies have shown that cinnamon extract and its active components are effective in improving insulin resistance and lipid metabolism disorders.Combined with the clinical and basic research of cinnamon extract and its active components, this paper discusses its improvement effect from the aspects of lowering blood sugar, inhibiting the formation of advanced glycation end products and preventing diabetic complications, in order to provide help for the clinical treatment of type 2 diabetes.
