Research Progress of Flexible Liposome in Transdermal Drug Delivery System

Flexible liposome is a new type of transdermal drug delivery carrier with high deformability and excellent permeability. It can be used to encapsulate various kinks of small molecules and macromolecular drugs with different functions to increase their transdermal and skin retention, and improve their local efficacy and drug delivery compliance. In this paper, the characteristics and transdermal mechanism of flexible liposome were reviewed. The factors affecting the transdermal transmission of flexible liposomes were also presented. Finally, the application of flexible liposome in transdermal drug delivery system was emphatically introduced to elucidate the broad application prospect of flexible liposomes.
