Research Progress on the Composition, Efficacy and Clinical Application of Prescriptions Containing Nigella Damascena L.

Nigella damascena L. is an annual herb of the genus Nigella in the Ranunculaceae, which is widely used in food, medicines, spices and other industries at home and abroad. It is a medicinal and edible homologous plant. Because its seeds are rich in saponins, flavonoids, alkaloids and other bioactive components, it has many pharmacological effects. It is also one of the commonly used medicines in Chinese national medicine prescriptions. This paper summarized the composition and pharmacological effects of the prescriptions of Nigellae Semen in Dai, Mongolian, Tibetan and Uygur herbs. The frequency of commonly used and high-frequency medicines and its compatibility of drug-pair in the ethnic prescriptions containing Nigellae Semen were analyzed with IBM SPASS Modeler 18 software, so as to provides reference for the subsequent studies on Nigella damascena L. and the prescriptions development containing Nigellae Semen.
