Rationality Analysis of Off-label Use of Gestation Period Women in Hospital

OBJECTIVE To analyze the rationality of off-label use of gestation period women in Jiangxi Maternal and Child Health Hospital. METHODS The prescriptions and medical records(MRs) from Jan 2019 to Jun 2019 were selected in obstetrics ward. The off-label use was analyzed according to the package inserts, and the rationality of off-label medication was analyzed. RESULTS In the total of 1 800 prescriptions and 432 MRs, 71 of prescriptions and 32 of MRs were involved off-label use respectively. It mainly included five kinds of drugs, of which three were more reasonable to use, one was reasonable to use in special circumstances, and one was unreasonable to use. CONCLUSION For gestation period women, off-label use should be careful, the prescription should be used under the support of authoritative clinical data evidence.
