    Metabolites of Intestinal Flora and Host Diseases

    • It has been found that the intestinal flora in the human body plays an important role in the emergence and development of various diseases which is considered to be “the ninth system” and “the second genome” of the body. Intestinal flora and its metabolites directly affect human health. This article focuses on the interaction between intestinal flora metabolites and diabetes, hyperlipidemia, immune system, colon cancer, cardiovascular diseases and its potential mechanisms.
