Investigation Research on the History of the Development of Clinical Pharmacy in Ningbo Medical Institutions

OBJECTIVE To review and summarize the development history of clinical pharmacy in Ningbo medical institutions, and to show the situation of pharmacists in Ningbo medical institutions for the development of clinical pharmacy. METHODS Investigated the history of clinical pharmacy in Ningbo by questionnaire survey, and analyzed the results statistically. RESULTS The 39 Ningbo medical institutions were included in the questionnaire survey. The earliest hospitals to carry out clinical pharmacy work began in 1985, and the number of full-time clinical pharmacists was limited. Their main tasks were blood drug concentration monitoring(83.3%) and pharmaceutical information service(66.7%). After more than 30 years, all the medical institutions participating in the survey had carried out clinical pharmacy related work, and the number of full-time clinical pharmacists had increased. Their educational background was in direct proportion to the level of the hospital, and some of them had received standardized training. The diversity of clinical pharmacy contents in Ningbo hospitals at all levels was in direct proportion to the level of hospitals, while the content of clinical pharmacy in Grade 3B hospitasl and Grade 2A hospitals was slightly less than that in general hospitals of the same level. CONCLUSION In the tide of medical reform, the team of clinical pharmacists in Ningbo medical institutions has been basically established, and its value still needs efforts and groping forward.
