Preparation Progress of ZnO@ZnFe2O4 Cream and Its Safety Evaluation of Skin Medication

    • OBJECTIVE To study the preparation progress and safety of skin medication of ZnO@ZnFe2O4 cream. METHODS Optimizing molding technology of ZnO@ZnFe2O4 cream was optimized by orthogonal experiment method. Buehler test was performed for evaluating the degree of allergy in guinea pig after skin contact with ZnO@ZnFe2O4 cream. Skin irritation was monitored by applying ZnO@ZnFe2O4 cream on the intact and wounded skin of rabbits in single or multiple times. Single administration was given to observe the acute toxicity of ZnO@ZnFe2O4 on New Zealand rabbits. RESULTS The optimized condition was shown below: emulsifier dosage was 6%, emulsifying time was 20 min, stirring speed was 1 600 r·min-1, emulsifying temperature was 80 ℃. The optimized progress producted-ZnO@ZnFe2O4 cream wasn't caused allergy in guinea pig, also wasn't caused side effects and acute toxicity in rabbits' skin. CONCLUSION Transdermal administration is a safety way for ZnO@ZnFe2O4 cream.
