Qualitative and Quantitative Study of Liuwei Tiaogeng Tablets

OBJECTIVE To establish the qualitative and quantitative methods for the quality control of Liuwei Tiaogeng tablets. METHODS Ligustri Lucidi Fructus, Lycii Fructus, Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Angelicae Sinensis Radix were identified by TLC, and the contents of astragaloside IV and ferulic acid were determined by HPLC. RESULTS The spots in TLC were clear with good separation and the blank tests showed no interference. Each component showed good linear relationship in quantitative tests and the average recoveries met the requirements. CONCLUSION The proposed qualitative and quantitative methods are simple and accurate, and can be used for quality control of Liuwei Tiaogeng tablets.
