Abstract
OBJECTIVE To summarize the role of pharmacists in the medication therapy management of common type of COVID-19 patients and to provide related reference for hospital pharmacy in epidemic periods. METHODS Combined with the actual work situation and literature review, the specific practice and exploration provided by clinical pharmacists in medication therapy management for common type of COVID-19 patients were described. RESULTS Clinical pharmacists were actively involved in the medication treatment of common type of COVID-19 patients. The content of medication therapy management included adjusting the dosage, identifying and dealing with potential inappropriate drug use, identifying and dealing with adverse drug reactions, identifying and dealing with drug interaction and providing drug information for patient. CONCLUSION In the face of emergencies, clinical pharmacists could make full use of the information system to adjust the pharmacy response strategy timely, and to ensure the safety and efficiency of drug use.
