Quality Evaluation of Jian’er Qingjie Oral Liquid in Market

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the quality of Jian’er Qingjie oral liquid in market. METHODS According to the mandatory standard to inspect the 50 batches of Jian’er Qingjie oral liquid from 11 different manufacturers, and establish HPLC for determination of amygdalin, forsythoside A and forsythin, which should not existed in the product. RESULTS There were 6 batches of products fails to comply with the mandatory standard, amygdalin was detected in 6 batches, forsythoside A and forsythin were detected in 12 batches. CONCLUSION The quality of Jian’er Qingjie oral liquid in market is not optimistic, which may resulted from the preparation process did not control severely. It is advised relevant department to enhance the supervision and management, meanwhile to revise and improve the quality standard.
