    Pharmaceutical Care Practice of Clinical Pharmacist Participating in Antiviral Therapy for Children with COVID-19

    • OBJECTIVE To explore the method of clinical pharmacists involved in the treatment of children with COVID-19 and pharmaceutical care, through the practice of drug treatment in children with COVID-19. METHODS The clinical pharmacists used the professional knowledge of pharmacy and the latest clinical research evidence to participate into the pharmaceutical care for one child with COVID-19, participated and assisted the clinic to adjust the treatment regimen, and administered education to the family members of the child. RESULTS Clinical pharmacist actively participated in the pharmacy care of child with COVID-19, timely detection of problems of drug use and could promote rational drug use in the clinic to achieve obvious results. CONCLUSION Clinical pharmacist participated in the formulation of drug treatment plan for child with COVID-19, and find an entry point into the clinical treatment team. Combining the theoretical knowledge and clinical practice can not only optimize the medication regimen and improve the level of clinical drug treatment, but also improve children's medication safety and effectiveness.
