    Simultaneous Determination of the Content of Five Common Metal Elements in Huafeng Dan by ICP-MS

    • OBJECTIVE To establish a method for simultaneous determination of the content of 5 metal elements(63Cu, 75As, 114Cd, 202Hg, 208Pb) in Huafeng Dan. METHODS The samples were digested with concentrated nitric acid-hydrogen peroxide(5:1), and then microwave digestion-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS) was used to determine the mass concentration of 5 metal elements. 72Ge, 115In, 209Bi were used as internal standards. RESULTS The correlation coefficient of the standard curves of 5 elements was >0.999 2, detection limits were in the range of 0.001-0.055 ng·mL-1, recoveries were in the range of 85.67%-114.14% and RSDs were in the range of 1.12%-4.26%. CONCLUSION The method is specific, accurate and sensitive, and suitable for the content determination of 5 common metal elements in Huafeng Dan.
