Prevention and therapeutic effects to Drug-induced Liver Injury with Liver-aid Tablets

    • OBJECTIVE To evaluate the protective and therapeutic effect of liver-aid tablets on atorvastatin-induced hepatic injury. METHODS The model of drug-induced liver injury in SD rats was established by intragastric administration of atorvastatin. The serum levels of alanine aminotransferase(ALT), aspartate aminotransferase(AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), total bilirubin(TBIL), direct bilirubin(DBIL), albumin(ALB), total protein(TP) and liver histopathology were detected to investigate the effect of liver-aid tablets on protecting and treating liver in atorvastatin-induced hepatic injury. RESULTS Liver-aid tablets could significantly reduce the levels of ALT, AST, ALP and TBIL(P<0.01, P<0.05) in the model group. CONCLUSION Liver-aid tablets have a hepatoprotective effect against atorvastatin-induced hepatic injury to some extent.
