Abstract
OBJECTIVE To study the effects of cordyceps polysaccharide on pulmonary fibrosis model of mice. METHODS The pulmonary fibrosis model of mice was established by intratracheal injection of pingyangmycin. The content of interleukin-1 receptor antagonist(IL-1RA) in serum was determined by ELISA, and the content of hydroxyproline(Hyp) in lung tissue was determined by alkali hydrolysis. Collagen deposition in lung tissue was observed by Masson staining. RESULTS Compared with the pulmonary fibrosis model group, the content of IL-1RA in serum of fermentation cordyceps powder group, total cordyceps polysaccharide group and cordyceps polysaccharide groupmolecular mass(MW)<2×105 evidently increased, but the content of Hyp in lung tissue evidently decreased. The fibrosis area of total cordyceps polysaccharide group and cordyceps polysaccharide group(MW<2×105) evidently decreased. CONCLUSION The cordyceps polysaccharide have significant anti-pulmonary fibrosis effects on model mice induced by pingyangmycin.
