Research Progress of Tussilagone

Tussilagone is a kind of sesquiterpene, which is separated from Chinese traditional medicine Tussilago farfara L., the index of the content determination of Tussilago farfara L. in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2015 edition is called tussilagone. In this paper, the extraction technology, separation method, structure identification, content detection and pharmacological activity of tussilagone are reviewed in order to provide a reference for the further research and development of the tussilagone.
