Anti-platelet Aggregation Activity of Jujuboside A

OBJECTIVE To investigate the anti-platelet aggregation activity and mechanism of jujuboside A. METHODS The anti-platelet aggregation activity of jujuboside A was evaluated in vitro on rabbit platelet aggregation, and the content of platelet activating factors (PAF), P-selectin and platelet factor-4 (PF-4) were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The inhibitory effects of jujuboside A with different concentration on platelet aggregation induced by adenosine diphosphate (ADP), arachidonic acid (AA) or PF-4 was investigated. RESULTS Jujuboside A inhibited the platelet aggregation induced by AA, ADP or PF-4, and decreased the expression levels of PAF, PF-4 and P-selectin. CONCLUSION Jujuboside A can inhibit aggregation and activity of platelet in vitro.
