Determination of Phenoxyethanol in Siwei Zhenceng Bingpeng Eye Drops by HPLC

OBJECTIVE To determine the content of phenoxyethanol in Siwei Zhenceng Bingpeng Eye Drops by HPLC. METHODS The separation was performed with a DIKMA Diamonsil C₁₈ column (4.6 mm×250 mm, 5 μm), the mobile phase was methanol-water (50︰50) at the flow rate of 1.0 mL·min^-1, the wavelength of detection was 268 nm, the column temperature was 30℃. RESULTS Good liner relationship of phenoxyethanol was in the range of 5.43-163.04 μg·mL^-1 (r=1.000 0), and the average recovery was 100.3%, RSD was 1.1%. CONCLUSION The method is simple, accurate, high precision and can be used to determine the content of phenoxyethanol in Siwei Zhenceng Bingpeng Eye Drops.
